Nothing brightens up a bleak Chicago winter weekend like a long, relaxing brunch. This January, Executive Chef Perry Hendrix and Pastry Chef Erin Mooney of Custom House Tavern are pleased to introduce a new brunch menu, presenting a natural extension of the restaurant's seasonal American cuisine. Now available Sundays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Custom House Tavern's brunch service presents a variety of delicious and energizing specials, including:

baked eggs ($12)

black eyed peas, smoky tomato sauce, avocado and breakfast potatoes

smoked pork sausage ($12)

two poached eggs, breakfast potatoes

hangtown fry omelet ($16)

bacon, fried oysters, chili and herbs

fried chicken and waffles ($14)

bourbon barrel aged maple syrup and hot sauce

short rib & red flannel hash ($14)

two poached eggs, horseradish sauce

custom house burger ($15)

wisconsin cheddar, dill pickle, cht steak sauce, house made fries

shrimp and lemon grits ($14)

mushroom, grilled scallions, poached egg

Valentine's Day Custom Tasting Menu

From Saturday, February 11 through Tuesday, February 14.

Since everyone should spend Valentine's Day eating food they truly love, Custom House Tavern is encouraging diners to skip the standard prix fixe holiday menus and instead create their own Custom-Made Tasting Menu. For $55, guests can choose their own four-course tasting menu, selecting each course from house favorites and special seasonal offerings from Executive Chef Perry Hendrix and Chef de Cuisine Zach Millican's a la carte menu. For an additional $40, guests can also opt for wine parings.

The Custom-Made Tasting Menu to celebrate Valentine's Day will be available from Saturday, February 11 through Tuesday, February 14. The regular a la carte menu will also be available (some a la carte menu items may not be available for the tasting menu). Reservations are highly recommended. Please call (312) 523-0200.

Coming Soon! Eggy's and Maison

In the coming months, Custom House Tavern Hospitality Group is thrilled to be expanding with the opening of two new restuarants -- Eggy's, an urban family diner, is scheduled to open late March and Maison, a contemporary interpretation of a French brasserie, is scheduled for opening this coming April. Both restaurants will be located at 333 E. Randolph St. in the Lakeshore East neighborhood. Stay tuned for additional details!

    Custom House Tavern offers $8 valet parking during dinner service. With ongoing construction on Congress Parkway, and limited nearby parking options, Owners Sue Kim-Drohomyrecky and Peter Drohomyrecky believed it important to enhance the dining experience by offering guests easy, affordable parking.
